Pole Position install woes...
I'm almost starting to regert buying these (almost). It's like a jigsaw puzzle getting them installed. So the brackets I got don't fit the factory sliders, which is fine because I'm selling the stock seats and the sliders should really go with them.
So, I bought sparco sliders because they work with my brackets, and I'm planning on getting BK brackets, and they are supposed to fit sparco sliders, and the sparco sliders are supposed to fit the 911SC. Well, on the outside mount (mount on the tub) there are 3 holes, the Sparco slider will align with the outermost 2. On the inside mount there are only 2 holes and they are not spaced far enough apart. Just drill another hole in the base? That's what I'm thinking of doing at this point. Todd

What was wrong w/ Recaro seats, brackets, and sliders? Using all Recaro mounting worked great in mine.

I just went through this headache myself. It was further complicated by the fact that I was sold non-pole position recaro side mount brackets so they were nowhere near the right location for the seat rails. I tried to reuse the stock sliders and even went as far as to try mounting them upside down, but that didn't work either. I ended up having to buy Recaro sliders and side mounts and then everything worked perfectly. That, as a last resort, will work just fine.

I haven't heard good things about the Recaro sliders, but have never seen them.
So, I could buy $400 worth of sliders or brackets, or use what I have and drill 2 holes. I think I might just drill the holes and be done with it. Todd

Recaro makes some side mounts that fit the factory (and Recaro) sliders. I used the aluminum ones that you see on the Recaro web site. Lot's of other brands don't fit, which really should come as no surprise. What surprises me is that the people that sell the seats often sell other mounts. Why make things tough?

I would be interested in your Sparco side mounts if you decide not to use or drill them...

Just to reiterate, you realize you can sell your Sparco sliders and the brackets that you have, buy the Recaro side mounts and bolt them to the old factory sliders and bolt the seat to the side mounts. It all fits, no drilling...

Yes, I did understand that. But, I thought it best to let the factory sliders go with the seats I'll be selling (just in case the buyer doesn't have any sliders). And, I feel a double locking slide is superior to the factory single sided style.
Seat's are in though. Drilling was painless, and installation wasn't horrible. Todd
