Rear Seat Positions? Mats?

Just wondering- how many of you keep you seats up?
Lower them?
Have a deck mat (photos anyone . . .)?

Is there any longevity reason(s) to have them up or down? *considering no one rides in them ever . . .

The 911 has no back seats. The rear seats in my 944 (can I say that here?) are up and down on a regular basis. Up when my daughter rides in the back, down when I fill the hatch with a bunch of stuff.

Always down to put larger items on, and to hide small items from view underneath. I'd take them out, but it removes some cargo carrying functionality.

I don't have the seat backs installed, I only use the bottoms.

On my 996 I keep them down all of the time except when my son rides in back (rare occurance). I like them down just because it looks neater and I use the seats to store small stuff when I go somewhere.

My 911 has had the rear seats removed completely.

Removed backs. On a few occasions I have squeezed small skinny friends behind the harness bar.

On my streetcar they are always up, as my kids love to ride in the 911 (at least while they can still fit!). My track car will have them removed.
