Neg Camber needed?
How much neg camber can one get in the rear of a 3.2 Carrera at euro height?
---- I only can get about -1.25 deg camber in the front so I am looking into strut top camber plates which is the only thing I can do in my class. The Weltmeister quotes 1 to 1.5 deg of added neg camber for $399. The main Elephant quotes 3/4 deg for $450. There new adjustable plate costs $600 and quotes 1.25 added neg camber. Is there any other economic solutions out there? Do these hard bushing strut plates add noise to the car? Thanks |

Sorry, looked at the rules and I can not use strut tops.
Still want to know how much neg I can get in the rear. Thinking all I have left is tire pressures. May end up w a bit more pressure in front to make up for not getting enough neg camber. Any thoughts. |

I ran across these camber adjusters that may provide a solution. (At $169.00 I don't know how economical they are.) Maybe someone with first hand experience with them will comment.

It's possible to slot the rear spring plates to allow for more negative camber. Some people can get as much as 3 degrees in the rear without modification, however (I've got 2.5 with room for more). In the front, you can cut down the inside edge of the stock camber plate, slot the 3 mounting holes, and do a little grinding on the top of the strut tower to allow for a little more negative. The modified plate + a strut brace pulling the tower together should get you at least another .5 degrees.

I have -2.5 in the rear with 3/16" toe in and I think I had some room to spare.
Now I wish I had gone for -3 if I could have gotten it. |
