Since when does anything decreed by a bueraucratic body need to make one smidgeon of logical sense? Half the rules don't even have good intention, let alone good implementation.

Leave CA? to live in like Texas? Yeah I wish I lived in Houston right now.

Our smog laws suck. I have a friend who registered in car in Bishop CA.....a town without smog laws. my 1973 is exempt......and that is why I bought a 1973 at that time. I was not going to buy and old 911 that I had to smog.
