86' - 89' fender availability ???

Just curious if these are NLA, I've been searching on the web all day and can locate CF and FG fenders all day long but cannot seem to locate OEM steel.

I assume you are looking for the front fenders. NOS (if you can find then..Try Paragon or MS Road Race) ones will cost you more than justified when you can buy good used ones that your body guy can soda blast and repaint. The CF or FG ones won't be as nice as steel used ones. The curves on our fenders are not easy to get perfect with composites.

I bought an '83 left front fender from PartsHeaven for $450 plus $100 shipping to the East Coast. I'm prepping and painting it right now.

I don't mean to rain on your parade Steve, but good used shorthood fenders are only worth about $150 each. I'd cap them at $300 ... the supply is high. But just about any damn thing is priceless when you need it "now!"

That's interesting...I got a quote of $500 from some outfit here in the East--maybe it was DC Automotive--and the $450 from PartsHeaven. With shipping about the same. I was mulling what to do, maybe some more research, when the guy from PH called and asked whether or not I wanted to buy theirs. Yeah, why not, I said. Good salesmanship. And what the hell, I'm so upside-down on that car what's another $250, right?

Well I talked to the body shop guy and he told me that he was quoted over $1500 for a new fender for my car. I thought that I can find it cheaper and began searching....and w/out buying it used or in CF or FG I waS unable to locate......so I was thinking maybe they are NLA as it shows on Pelican
