Cleaning / unclogging fuel distributor from the "outside"
Has anyone tried cleaning / unclogging the internal passageways of the fuel distributor by blowing compressed air at the injector outlets, while opening the line to the WUR, for the air to escape ??

Here was the method I used. Yes, it made a big difference.
First, remove the fuel distributor from the car. This means connect the supply, control pressure and return lines as well as all of the injector lines. Make sure to keep track of the sealing washers and banjo fittings. A pulled the entire aluminum metering plate setup for cleaning as well. separate the fuel distributor from the metering plate. Pay close attention to the pressure control pin in the bottom. This MUST NOT BE DROPPED. Work over a clean, soft towel on the bench. Soak the fuel distributor in solvent overnight. I used Berryman's B12 yet you might have something different available in Portugal. periodically, pull the fuel distributor and drain. Watch all of the crud and brown come out of the ports. Now for the final cleaning. Spray some carb cleaner in a passage and then quickly follow with compressed air. This will flush the remainder of material out. Wear eye protection as the spray will go everywhere. When finished, reassemble the FD into the car. You can also clean the injectors and fuel delivery lines while this is all off the car. You should noticed much improved throttle response once the fuel pin is clean and not sticking to the FD.

I will be doing it shortly. Did you removed the fuel pin from the unit while cleaning it, or did you did it as a whole ?
