Flywheel, Pilot bearing question
Trying to piece together a clutch assembly that came with a motor I purchased.
I've searched and searched, but haven't found the answers I'm looking for... The crankshaft/flywheel bolt pattern is 6 bolts, and the flywheel number is 911 102 201 1R. I'm mating this to a 915 trans. Questions: What is the application for this flywheel? (All the 911 to 915 flywheels I've found seem to have 9 bolt patterns) What is the spec for the flywheel bolt? Which pilot bearing does this take? What is the spec for the pressure plate bolts? I'd like to pick up the bolts at a local supplier if possible. Thanks in advance.

72 - 73 use the 6-bolt flywheel and 915 trans, you can buy the bolts (which are one-time use) from Pelican. Part number is 911 102 171 00
That is a casting number, not the part number, flywheel part number may be 911 102 201 11. The clutch kit part for a '73 911T is 915 116 911 00. Torque specs are in the workshop manual.

One other question... want to replace the transmission input seal. There are two listed on Pelican, one for late 73, and one for 72-73(early). How do I tell which one I have? I can see the seal if I look down the throwout bearing guide tube. Can the guide tube be removed? Or do I have to pick it out with the guide tube in place? Thanks!

The one without two screws holding the guide tube in is the early one.
If it's an early one there are many opinions on how to change it, search on this forum........ No fun to do, but if not done now, you will wish later that you had. Make sure you also change the selector shaft seal Pull off the shift plate to check whether the interlock plate studs are still secure...they loosen off or the threads in the shift plate strip out. Not one of Porsche's greatest engineering ideas..... The pilot bearing part number is 901 102 025 01, Pelican can supply. We always replace the clutch release arm 915 116 712 01 as it cracks due to age. Pelican can supply.

Thanks for the tips. Called the guy who did the transmission, and he said he replaced the seal, so that's one off of my list. I have a NOS pressure plate that has some surface rust on the friction surface (no wear whatsoever), would you recommend machining it, or would a light sanding be advisable?

A good clean will be fine, try to avoid getting too much rust residue into the pressure plate levers.
