wipers not working !
 

Was driving in the UK 2 weeks ago and the wipers stopped. First the washers stopped . I checked the fuses all ok there, there are 3 relays in the fuse box which I pulled and put back, after some time all was working but not the washers. now I'm heading for a trip to France with the car and the wipers an't working. I went the fuse rout again but nothing is there a relay some were that I have mist?

Yes, there is a relay. I think it is a PITA to get to, it is behind the fresh air blower in the trunk. Mine gave me trouble, and I just cleaned the contacts and it was ok.

My wipers stopped working about a month ago but I didn't sort it out until this weekend. Based on a tip found from an archive search, I looked at the 3 bulkhead connectors below the dash and sure enough - one had come loose. Plugged it back in and wipers are now back to normal. It's worth a look.

The connectors on my US '81 SC are above your left knee on a US car and are round.

Hi, I have a 1995 carrera 993 and my windshield water pump stop working. I replaced it with a new one yesterday and still not running( not pumping water but windshield wipers are both working)...When I tested the old one from the battery, it was running but I replaced it anyway with the new one...There is no clogged and the fuse are fine...Anything else what to do? Is there a relay or do I need to clean the wiperswitch terminal and where it is located? Thanks
