H&H Sway Bar Comments
IO found an NOS H&H Rear Sway Bar kit that I am considering for my 69 E. When the Pneumatic suspension was replaced some time ago, an adjustable H&H 20 mm front sway bar was installed. No bar was added to the rear.
I am now autocrossing 4-5 times/yr with the car and get terrible plowing at low speeds so I am contemplating what to put on. I have a 20 mm SC bar that I would need to get brackets welded, and drop links for. But then this bar would not be adjustable and I think it might be a tad much for my 2300 lb car. The H&H rear bar is smaller at 19mm, and is also adjustable 3 ways so I can dial in further. I have 21/27 TBs and other suspension upgrades done 3 years ago so this is the last of the changes. My question to you is if anyone has experience with H&H rear bars? My concern is that these bars use U brackets to install to the arms & body. I don't figure they are as sturdy as welded brackets, but I'm 85% street & 15% autox, so I won't be stressing them all the time. Comments? |
