What does a 30,000 miles service include?
I'm looking at 1991 964 Turbo that had the 30,000 miles service completed at 35,000 miles or about three years ago. The car now has ~42,000 miles.
The guy selling it can't locate the receipt and has indicted I can call the Porsche dealer to get a list of what was completed on the car. Just curious if anyone on Pelican knows what the 30K service would likely include. He said the bill was about $1700 Also curious if most Porsche shops perform PPI's and the approximate cost. I'll find all of this out in the morning I'm just impatient and hoping someone on the board knows. Thanks Brian

Hey Brian,
A common service for a 911 consists of an oil change, new oil filter ,new fuel filter, valve adjustment, spark plugs(if necessary), Cap and rotor(If necessary), and an inspection of all the components like suspension, rear axle boots, brakes, turbo, intercooler, ect. Make sure you get a PPi, and listen for any unusual noises, like valve's ticking, or smoke from the exhaust under acceleration-that would be a sign that the motor is burning oil...... Good luck!!! |
