Interesting observation
I just bored an old mag case back to standard, set the mains right at 2.441 or 62mm then tossed it in the heat tunnel and brought it up to 200 degrees and rechecked the mains, they expanded by .002 I then checked the crank at 200 degrees and also had nearly the same result. Looks like these engines do a lot of moving around. I know things expand with heat but you spend all that time getting things just right and it changes by that much with just a little heat, its a good thing they expand together.
