Amazing what a new air filter can do
After a recent oil change, i was getting a little smoke at start up, I inspected the air box on my '83 SC w/cis and yes the air filter had a little oil debris on it, over filling I suppose. I drove it about 750 miles, removed the air box and filter, thourghly cleaned the box and installed a new filter and the smoking at start up is gone and it idles perfect and the general performance is noticable, amazing when less than a $20 part can make such a difference.

Doesn't everybody wish things were always that cheap? It does pay to keep up on those little maintenance items though.
