Spacers on the Pelican online shop

Hi, I see there are several spacers on the online shop. The 1/4 and 1 inch spacers, would they fit on my '75 S with OE 6" Fuchs (205/55-15 all around, "narrow body")? I have tried to measure the gap, and it seems that 15-20 mm spacers would be correct at the back wheels... Then the 1 inch spacer would bee to wide.

Are there any negative effects of running spacers? Is it best to leave it as is? I do feel the car would look better with a wider stance. I know that 7" Fuchs would be an option, but I like the look of the 6" so much... And then there is the question of getting the same optics as the OE wheels.

What kind of wheel/spacer combo's work for you?

Many thanks for help, Ole
