need Carrera sport cat recomendations
Hello
New owner, just got an 87 Targa and it failed the emission's test in TN. It failed with a fabspeed cat bypass but was close. Then I installed a cat that the PO gave me, it was laying around the shop and did not come out my car. With the cat it failed even worse. I took it to a mechanic and he said the cat wasn't working. He is going to try adjusting the air flow meeter to get it through the test. I am looking for recommendations on a sport cat. Will they get you through emmissions? Do they offer the same hp benefits as a bypass? I only know of a sport cat from Fabspeed, anyone have any experience with it? Any other sport cats available?

see if a local Pelican will lend you a working cat... likely someone will have one sitting in the garage waiting for the next emission test..
a cat bypass would not pass in any case in CA.. it doesn't pass the visual.. no cat, no pass |

The M&K pre muffler shure looks like a cat.
Can these things pass the sniff tests w/o a cat? |

I have a GHL sport cat in addition to the GHL muffler. Sounds fantastic and passes Denver emissions easily.
