price check 1979 911SC

I bought a 911 1979 to do a PCA racer for a friend of mine but he has changed his mind and wants to sell it .

The car has no rust at all, I had it up on a lift and it looks pretty dry, the paint is pretty new, the engine is in decent shape but the interior is pretty much toast.

The guy has a roll bar for it, a sparco seat, simpson harness , a set of aluminium pedals, Carrera tail OEM and 27/21 torsion bars, the car was driving but the return spring on the clutch lever just broke.

I think it could make a pretty nice start for somebody. the guy is asking $8,950 for the whole package which I thought was pretty good. Please let me know your thoughts and if anybody is interested just e-mail me and I could take some pictures of the car

It is now on the for sale adds FS 1979 911SC great PCA racer start $8900 OBO

The asking price seems fair to me.

I'd buy it for $9K if it was a good runner. Broken clutch spring is a non issue. Oil leaks and broken head studs migh scare me away.

Toasted interior is a bonus...lessens the guilt from tearing it out and putting in the go fast bits.

it has a couple of small oil leaks but nothing major it just had a valve adjustment and they checked the studs and they all seem fine. I just order the clutch spring to get it back on the road . I will also run a compression test and will post the results on the for sale add. I'll start the add at his asking price and go from there. He is got a lot of good parts for it already

thanks again for the responses
