Japanese ex pat Carrera.
This is a real longggggggggggggggg shot.
I know that we get some Japanese readers on this blog so I have a far fetched request for info. I own a 1989 Carrera 3.2 sport slate grey which was purchased in Japan and shipped to Australia early in 2006. I bought it off the guy who imported it here. She was a left hand drive ROW which was sold origionally in Germany. It is the car that featured in my post about the story of my left to right conversion. Australian project. left to right 3.2 Anyway my request is ....does anyone from Japan recognise this car, I would understandably love to know more about it. 1. What I do know is that it was owned by a Japanes person (pencil Japanese notations in owners handbook) 2.It has had the front r'h fender replaced and quite a bit of paint work done all over. 3.It has been on a race track at some stage due to the copious amounts of balled race rubber up under the fenders. 4. Although it has no written history you can tell that it has been cared for and serviced by the right people. 5. The only rust on the whole car is an unusual 1 inch bubble above the right rear quater window. As I wrote at the start this is a real long shot but stranger things have happened right? Perhaps someone reading all this may have known the car over there. Remember it was on a track so it may have been associated with a car club. The photo is recent . It is now right hand drive.

Just another bump shot, I know Japan has a huge following with a lot of owners but who knows who is reading this.

may I help...???
saintz,
what kinda info are you looking for? send me the pics of docs you have with japanese scribbles. i should be able to read 'em. but there are billions of porsches in that country. they don't have carfax and such that allows consumers track record of the vehicles. but few hints may get us going... ...and i just browsed thru the thread on your RWD conversion. you are unbelievably patient and congrats on an excellent job well done... though I admit this is not timely as I'm reading your posts two years later... anyways, let me know how i can help...

Hey thanks midnight911. Sadly no papers concerning the Japanese owner came with the car. It's owners manual and other stuff but no service info. The car was originally purchased in Germany and then privately shipped to Japan at some stage. I really appreciate your interest though.
