Can anyone identify these loose wires in my engine bay?

I have no idea what any of these are for, except I believe the thick flat ones are for my rear window defrost, which has been disconnected since I swapped out the decklid for the ducktail. Some may be for wiring for the license plate lights, which were also disconnected at the same time, and I didn't take note at the time of what went where. However there seem to be far more than just those things here.

Obviously the short green and yellow what is a ground, but what for? The circle-end wire that's tied in a bunch is connected into the wiring plug that goes in behind the fuse panel. I know that's a lousy description, sorry

Thanks!
Chris

odd wires

let's try and if I am wrong, some body will tell us very shortly

ground wire yellow/green god knows what the PO had hooked up
the grounding strap looks like is for the engine lid
the bundle of 3 red wires could be for the rear window defogger, if you have no defogger, the rear window was replaced

I do have a rear defogger, and it worked fine before I disconnected it, but as I said, I didn't mark which wires were for it.

That's easy to test. Put a light on them and click on the rear-window defroster switch.

The big ground straps are for the decklid. Yank 'em and put 'em in a box.

When done with those wires, do get them sealed up/isolated nicely.

They look to be RW DF....as mentioned,..hook your meter up to it and look for 12VDC with the RWDF switch actuated...

Best,

Doyle
