weber carb problem at high rpm's

the engine is a 1970 911t motor. It has webers and a MSD ignition unit. the car starts and idles very nicely. Mid range seems good also, but once i get into the higher rpms the car dogs. any suggestions and is there any more info you need to help me solve my problem.
thanks
-Larry

Check fuel filter, then fuel pump pressure and volume. If filter is located before the test port, that's included. High speed lack of power is a typical symptom for a borderline pump.

A compression test provides a good reference point for engine integrity, just to be sure. Of course, check the easy stuff too (ignition timing, plug wire insulation, dist. cap/rotor, etc.).

I suggest checking fuel pressure and volume with and w/o the FPR. Suggested fuel pressure for Webers is 3.5-4psi. Fuel volume with engine OFF and FP energized is about 1 liter/min. minimum.

next size smaller air corrector jets can help. they get more out of the mains at top end without having to use larger mains.
