passenger seat fore/aft adjustment
Anyone have experience modifying the passenger seat rails to allow the seat to slide back farther. In the full back position, on my '87, the seat is still about 6-8in from the rear seats and legroom in the passenger footwell is tight. This is mainly for when I am riding in this seat and letting my wife drive. As a passenger, it would be nice to stretch out my legs, maybe take a nap.

Does your wife usually have the seat closer or farther from the dash? Or does it not matter to her on the passenger side, where the seat is adjusted to? Tony.

I'm 6 ft tall, she's 5'-3"
It doesn't seem to bother her. I only noticed it when my I jumped in the passenger seat for the 1st time last week. If I recall correctly she had the seat slightly off the rear stops. When I went to adjust it backward, I was surprised by the limited range especially given the amount of room left between the backrest and rear jump seats. |
