Need Help figuring which horn to replace... Ok, I have a 1989 911 Cab and am working on the oil cooler in the pass front fender. I noticed that one of my horns is broken. It is the one to the outside of the fender (not the one closest to the side). I can't figure out if it is the high or low pitch horn. Any ideas? Andrew |

the horn with the longer trumpet is the low pitched one and the shorter one is high pitched. |

if it is the actual trumpet portion that is broken and you can't compare them together it is only one nut to remove the horn in question and IIRC the part # is on the back of the electrical portion near the stud used to attach it to the car. |

If one doesn't work, put your hand on the horns while someone else honks it. You can feel which one works. |

tcar's explanation is right on how to figure out which one isn't working. However, wouldn't it be easier to get a new horn that was louder so people will actually be able to hear it? |

Thanks. I will remove the horn and check the part number as it is the trumpet that broke off one horn. |

which horns are most people using? |
