how do I find out if my 84 has front or rear oil cooler

need this info for installing SSI's. I'm guessing my 84 has rear oil cooler but not sure.

If it's the original engine then yes... the big Z shaped rubber hose located under the right rear of the car has one end connected to the oil cooler and the other end to the oil tank.

Stock it has both.

Rear, on top of the engine on the R side.

Front, in front of the RF wheel.

If you're installing SSI's, the oil cooler lines need to be backdated to pre-'75 configuration. You will have to replace the two lines currently on your car with the two lines in the attached photo. Hope this helps.
