An aluminum faceplate for the center console

Hey Fellow Pelicans,

I saw a great aluminum faceplate for the center console on Pelican Parts forum yesterday but I now can't find it. I looked for hours and hours and got sidetracked dozens of times on all kinds of interesting topics but I can't find the picture of what was a wonderfully fabricated aluminum faceplate with two extra gauges.

Can anyone help me here? Someone must have seen it here.

Thank you all!

Cordially, Greg

No, I'm looking for a custom made aluminum faceplate for the center console. It had two extra gauges in it.

Thanks anyway Island911.

Hey Dave,

Thanks for all the examples of center consoles but we still have not found the one picture of one with an aluminum face. Hopefully so one else was impressed by it. I can't believe I didn't subscribe to the thread, but I missed the shift.

So we will wait from help from the community.

Was it this one?

Adding gauges to the center console

One of the best ideas for customizing a console I've seen.

Jack Olsen's car is full of inspiration.

Regards, Ernie

that silvery car belongs to Grant G in Colo.

there is an Excl. story on it - it is one of the lightest 911s out there - more or less tied with Jim Calzia's car.

more info and cite in the word table I made on light wt. 911s; hosted by a another member at:

I made this one, it's fiberboard which made mounting easier.

Well, even with all the intellectual and Porschefile firepower here we still have not found the picture of the custom made aluminum faceplate for the center console. I'm still hopeful for other contributions. Someone here must remember it and subscribed to the thread.

Thanks all.

Greg
