Sway Bar Mounts

Hello All

Does anyone make pre fab sway bar mounts? Mine are about to go and rather than make new ones from scratch, it'd be easier to weld on a ready made mount.

It's for a 1981 RoW.

Thanks

Tony

I know the host (PP) sells different sway bar mounts. Do you want something like this (the WVO-RARB)?

Rear sway bar mount?
The factory mounts are of two types. I believe the early mount is superseded by the current HD mount. The WEVO part is stronger, especially if used with a larger than factory sway bar. Either one can be reinforced with additional metal (in the archives).

A very small amount of 1/4" structural steel plate, and channel, can make an almost bullet proof set of mounts. I rebuilt mine a few years back, and they show no signs of any type of stress related wear, nor does the tub area, that I reinforced at the same time. It does not do a lot of good to have very strong mounts, just welded to a weak area of the tub. Total cost was basically zip, being I always have those types of materials on hand, but if I had to calculate what the actual cost was for the materials, it probably would have been about $7.00 to $9.00 Good luck!! Tony.
