Matching SC head ports and intake runners

I've done some searching an can't find an answer - so here we go.

I have a USA spec 83SC engine - small port heads and small intake runners.

In a box I have a complete ROW CIS system with large runners.

I have already replaced the US spec fuel head with the ROW one with great results, but was wondering if I can fit the ROW CIS system to the small port heads? Is there any advantage by doing so?

I'm thinking that the flow rate is going to be dictated by the heads anyway but wanted to check with those with a lot more knowledge than I have.

Tim
