86 valve adjustment? help

alright ive owned this car for about 3 years put about 10k miles on it give or take over that time, done oil and normal things tie rod etc, but just recently i was on my way home from a 45 minute drive or so and i started to hear a tick, the oil pressue is good and doesnt over heat at all im thinking it needs a valve adjustment but its hard to hear anything, i put a fabspeed muffler and cat bypass and thats all i hear except i can hear some ticking when i go under the car? im located in north east ct, any shops ppl recommend? i dont wanna drive the car much as i cant imagine its good for it... thanks guys
