spring arm coating

hey guys, I'm about to do my suspention bushings with ERP poly-bronze and thought I'd put an adjustable spring plate into my 74S since it doesn't have adjustable plates in it stock. what I'd like to know is how the spring plates were coated stock from the factory? I figured since they were going to be out for ERP bushings, I might as well clean them and protect them. soooooo , any thoughts on how they were factory coated would be appreciated.
