Jack placement in spare tire compartment
Sorry for the stupid question for my first post but was hoping someone had a picture and/or some guidence as to where and how my bilstein jack should fit in the spare tire compartment (if it should at all) of my 70 911T. I can't seem to get it to fit correctly and it leaves an unsightly lump in my trunk.

Place it in front of the wheelwell at the front bumper, easier to do with tire out.

There's supposed to be a rubber strap to hold it in place, but most of them are long gone, worn out. No rattles with it strapped down.

Thanks for the advice will give it a shot tonight, though I swear I had tried that. Could it perhaps be that the riser (not sure of the technical name) needs to be at a certain postion up the stem of the jack for it to fit right, or should it be all the way down?
Finally taken care of all of my miscellaneous rattles so I want to do it right as to not create a new one. |

You can also get a couple pieces of black foam pipe insulation. Cut to length, split and wrap around the jack. Wedge into place.
