Clifford Sabre Alarm

First the good news my car still starts.

Bad news my Clifford Sabre Alarm does not seem to be working.

I had the Porsche Charge-o-mat that plugs into the cigarette lighter but my battery died. Apparently the key needs to be turned on or something. Anyways installed a charger that installs directly to the battery, but now the alarm does not seem to be working. The Clifford Manual is confusing to say the least. The LED light on the dash is not illuminated. Is there an easy way to reset the system besides the 20 step process in the manual IE: disconnect from battery? I like having a remote to lock & unlock the door and an alarm/immobilizer to discourage theft and don't want to rip out the miles of wire to replace the current system. Any help is appreciated.

Also the Porsche Charge-o-mat is for sale. I believe it works with newer Porsche's that do not require the key to be on.
