Anyone know where I can get E98 in New York?
I am in Oklahoma, but my car is getting tuned in New York at Super Street Performance. I am really considering stepping everything up, and running e98 Problem is does anyone know of a source around Farmingdale NY? They will need enough to tune the car etc.
Thanks! |

Whatever E98 is--98 octane/10-percent ethanol?--it would have to be some kind of custom race-fuel/chemicals supplier. I've lived in NY all my life , and as far as I know there'd nothing legally mandated but 87, 89 and 93 octane, ll of it required to be 10-percent ethanol.
Maybe roninlb will answer--he's much more knowledgeable about that area--or you can do a search for him and ask him directly.

I have located a place in Farmingdale that has e85, but I really want my tune on e98. e85 is 85% ethanol. e98 is just that 98% ethanol. I am close to getting a source here in Oklahoma so I can get a couple 55 gallon drums, but dont want to ship fuel if I can help it. My tuner is in Hastings on Hudson is that close to you? My car is getting tuned in Farmingdale.

Yeah, Hastings on Hudson is about 25 miles from where I live. Is there some way I can help?

The shelf life is longer than gasoline. You use more of the fuel so it would be used up pretty quickly. One 55 gallon drum should be just fine for me at a time.
