80 Euro distributor question

My distributor does not have vacuum advance and No provisions for the diaphragm.
It has a Bosh part # 0237 303003.
It also has 050 that is circled and another set of digits PGFD6.

Anyone know what year/application this is for? I am pretty sure all of these cars came with vacuum advance.

Check out distributor 18, it has a pn#930.602.021.00

From that site it looks like Bosch# 0237 303003 equals 93060202100 in Porsche language. Now I should be able to figure out what car it belongs to.

Hopefully we can crack the code.

I just checked Pelican and it is no longer available. but I can buy 930602021DX for 1,145.00!!

Mine is a Bosch 0237301007, with vacuum advance. Mine also has 050 that is circled and another set of digits PGFUD6. The "U" must stand for "um-vacuum"?

PG = Gehause = pole housing diameter between 71mm & 83mm
F = Fliehkraftversteller (mechanical advance)
U = Unterdruckversteller (vacuum advance)
D = Drehzahlbegrenzer (speed limiter)
6 = #cylinders

Thanks for the links, good info. Can you determine what Ron's distributor application is? I believe mine is the original ROW distributor that came with the car.

Acording to the Bosch literature

0 237 303 003 = PGFD6 (Porsche OE# 930.602.021.00)
Porsche 911 3L; Europa beginning March 1978

0 237 301 007 = PGFUD6 (Porsche OE# 930.602.021.04)
Porsche 911 3L; Europa beginning February 1979

Note that these are Bosch's records.....Porsche may have transitioned at different dates.
