Which Racor filter?

Hey guys I would like to install a better fuel filter to keep my Weber jets clean. I've become expert at blowing them out. Which model Racor is the preffered one to install? I had a look at their website and only found marine gas and diesel filters. I beleive the 2 micron is the one to get but I may be wrong. Thanks in advance.

I used a Racor 110A on my 46mm PMO carb setup.

Great filter and nice to have the water seperator feature as well.

Good Luck

Thanks Mike
The 110A Racor is only available as a 10 micron and is recommended for injected gasoline engines. I especially want the water separator feature as I get a lot of temp swings here in Canada in the spring and fall and condensation in the tank is a problem. Am I being too fussy looking for a finer element? Webers need the cleanest fuel possible.

I have a 110A on my PMO'ed 2.7. It is hard to imagine particles that are.010 mm causing problems in even the small idle jets, as noted the 110A's water separation feature is nice as well

call or e-mail Racor for best info on 110/110a filters.

the 120 series may not be as high psi tight as the 110 but 2 micron readily available. I pumped my filter to over 50 psi without leaking. I've never had a 2 micron clog before a 20k mile change. It's used on carbs so psi or track isn't an issue with me.

This is a good alternative to the Racor filters.. available with either 1 micron or 8 micron filter elements.

Well here's the straight dope. I spoke to an engineer at Racor and he recommended the 120R-RAC-02 filter with the R12S element. The filter is good for 7 psi so no problem with the 3.5 psi. that the Webers get. This filter has a metal bowl not a plastic one and with the 2 Micron element it's just the thing I need. I bought it from B-Line filtration in Austin Texas and their price was about 40% less than the Marine shops. So I should get it in about a week. Thanks again for the help guys. Thanks TimT but the filters you suggested don't have a water separator.

Steve Weiner told me to install a Racor 110A with my PMOs, which is what I did.

Hey Wally thanks for the research. BY the way, your set up looks very similiar to mine. Do you happen to know what jet, venturi, tube sizes you are running in your carbs? What plugs? Do you like the way they are performing?

The 110A is an awesome, lightweight filter.

unclebilly, clear your PM boxes. Can't send you a PM. Sorry for the thread interruption.
