Remove a/c bad for condenser/ dryer?

Have been gradually lightening '87 Carrera and now am considering removing a/c compressor and decklid cooler section. If I cap off and leave the remaining hoses/ lines intact for possible future use, will this in any way damage the new condenser/ dryer unit in drivers front wheel well? Have differing opinions and had no luck searching forums.

Thanks all!

David

Condensors and Evaporator will be fine but you should replace the R/D when you decide to reactivate the AC. It is very easy and cheap to replace the R/D.

Drain all the remaing oil and refresh prior to reactivation :-), use proper torque specs.
