Wheels

what is the biggest n widest set of wheels you can install without tires rubbing fenders on a stock 1976 911 (narrow body) ?

what about 16" or 17"?

16" will work, (my cousin has 16" fuch on his stock 72 911T)

17" may be getting too big... it may not look good.

You could probably fit 7x16s with 205/55-16s. IMHO, 7x15 with 225/50s all around is about the best you can hope for.

Nothing is guaranteed on these cars, though. I would suggest test-fitting a set of what you want before buying something.

16x7 "951" offset wheels work well. A 205-55-16 works well and you can sometimes use a 225-50-16 on the rear as well.

You can sometimes run the "951" offset 7's and 8's on the front and rear. I have this setup with 205 on the front and 225 on the rear. You would likely need to roll the fender lips and even then may run into clearance problems. Each car is different so this might not work for you even though it works for me.
