Interior help!!!! Please

I have been searching for hours on how to remove my center console in my 87 to replace the carpet. I know there used to be a post on here that gave details on removing the console but I cannot find it for the life of me. Can somebody PLEASE help?

Quote from a past posting==

"Just did this - You have to remove three screws. One under the carpet at the rear of the console. Pull back the carpet trying not to rip it too much. The other two hold the console to the tunnel and are under the black cover at the front of the console. That's held on by 4 screws. You will see the two holding it down only after you remove the cover."

To Clarify

The one screw under the carpet that he is talking about is between the seats at the front end (toward the rear of the car) of the console by the E-brake handle. This is the carpet that you will need to be careful to not rip.

Best of luck,
Bryan

Thanks guys....all of the carpet is out now...I am not going to be removing the sound deadening or anything fancy....Just an RS carpet kit, RS door panels, and freshly recovered Recaro LS seats that were given to me a couple years ago (boy does a divorce slow projects down) all in blue that amost matches the original interior
