For comparison reasons, how may seconds does it take to go from a steady 2000 rpm second gear to 5500 rpm. Same type of run in third gear steady 2000 rpm to 5500 rpm. One run for each gear or do several and post your average.
Would like to use the numbers as a base line pull. Second gear brings you to around 60 MPH and third gear to around 90 MPH, the average seconds from 2000 to 5500 would indicate how well the flat six is preforming. Next I would like to see some of the chipped and exhaust modification guys numbers. Thanks in advance, Bob 87 targa |

I keep my RPMs at 3K+ and in the appropriate gear for the speed. Although a 3.2 has the available torque to do so (punching it at 2k > redline), that's not what these cars are all about, and certainly not good for the tranny according to the experts. YMMV...try living above 3K...you, and your car will like it
