Very nice article that I am sure many of us can relate to.
I really like the 1973 Jag. An truly amazing touring car. That V12 engine is truly a marvel.

good read and slide show - I can relate in 1971 I bought a new 2002. I drove the heck out of that car because I was young and didn't know better.... had it for 200k + miles / 14 years. In terms of a DD and all around useful and reliable car it is IMHO hard to beat. I saved my money for 9 years... and plunked down $3,581 all tax/etc. included.. out the door. I still remember the first stop - to get the tank filled so I could drive and show all my friends. In those days many people didn't know the BMW brand. Many BMW owners in those days did the blink light thing when seeing another BMW.
