Petite LeMans: Friday Pictures

Spent that day at RA today for Petite practice and qualifying. Great to see the Penske boys 1-2-3 in P2

Here are some pics of today's action. I spent the whole day in the paddock so I'll post some on-track photo's tomorrow from the race. In honor of our P-car's, these first bunch of pics are all of the RS Spyder.

I'll post some of the other cars later. Should be a great race tomorrow ... can't wait to see the Peugot and Audit battle !

Howdy Doug! Wasn't it gorgeous today at RA? I wish I could have stayed for the big race tomorrow, but I enjoyed qualifying Thursday night & some more qual & racing today. The Porscheplatz seemed well attended, tho I can't compare because this was my first. The parade lap was a hoot! Slow, but really neat.

Do you guys have special tickets to get in that close or are those tickets available to the public, just curious, never been to one of these races? If available to anyone, what's the package price? Thanks

Yup, gorqeous day indeed. Attendence seemed down to me this year but I'm attributing that to the recent gas shortage. It will be interesting to see how big the crowds are tomorrow. Those parade laps are a killer ... you need to come back and do a DE with PCA. You'll get a whole new appreciation for the track

2 day advance ticket was $65 and that gets you into the paddock but not the hot pit.

Here are a couple of the hot pit area that I took by getting above the fence ... don't ask how :>

Here are a couple of the Peugot ... great looking and faaaaaaaaaaaast ! Sarazin put it on the overall pole at an average speed of just over 138mph.

and for those of you who might remember from RRIII, this was the car that caught on fire when G. Jeanette was driving. I asked Gunner about it today and he said the car was just recently finished.

Yes, that is Doc Hudson in the foreground of the 2nd picture ... these 2 cars were kinda like a little tribute to PLN.

I was standing not too far from the BBQ at RRRIII, very sad, but glad to see her back to glory.
One of my friends sent me a text from the track this morning letting me know she made it, then a buddy who lives up there, called me at 6 this evening to tell me he has us tickets that he got from PCNA, but there is no way that I make it to
Road Atlanta this late in the game

I may leave here in a few. If you park inside, can you park in the Peachstate area or did you have to register? I was not sure I could make it so I never bought the tickets or registered through PCA.
