Leaky Lower Valve Covers

I need to change the valve cover gaskets on my 911. Does anyone out there know what type OEM valve covers are on my car and is it worth up-grading to turbo valve covers?

You already have turbo valve covers. If you replace the gaskets, check to make sure the covers are not warped - they still can warp.

-You should have turbo covers already.
-Over-tightening the valve covers will warp them and make them leak.
-Use the gaskets that have a silicone bead (sold by our host).
-Make sure you get all of the old gasket off but don't scar the cover.
-There is a lot of info already out there so it is wise to do a search to find out how to check for warped covers.

With the valve covers off, take two big sheets of #400 grit wet/dry sandpaper and tape them down on the new granite counter top in the kitchen. Add a little water. Slide the cover around in a circular motion until the mating surface is "shiney." If you're "warped," it'll show. Otherwise you'll have a clean flat surface. Doesn't make much diff what gaskets you use, I like the stock ones, just don't over-tighten the nuts.

If you get caught during the kitchen part, you'll be sleeping under your car.

A thick sheet of glass (coffee table top) might be better. I am not sure of the flatness requirement for granite countertop, but I know glass will meet your needs.
Yes, I am well aware that surface plates are made of granite, but those plates are honed to the desired grade/flatness. They don't fall off the trees in that configuration.
