Sport exhaust system
Hi,
I'm planning to chcnge my stock exhaust system in 2.7 RS replica with 3.2 207hp motor installed (stock motronic). I have already bought two sport headers w 1 1/2 " diameter. I'm using this car for occasional rallying and hillclimbing so I need good torque in low rpm. What would be the best choice for muffler? - dansk muffler 2 in 2 out fot pre 73' model, - megaphones, - another custom muffler? I think I will go also for Steve Wong chip. Thank for advice.

Give Ben at M&K a shout. They are great to work with. I just got mine back from them. The workmanship is flawless. The sound is the ultimate Porsche growl. The price is reasonable. Customer service is unsurpassed. You will not be disappointed. He can be found on the forum here or on his site www.mkexhaust.com

They say the SSI with 1 1/2" primaries is a better low end set up.
However, the duno numbers I saw put the stock heat exchanger even with it up to by 4000rpm. Also, one other data point, a 1 5/8" set up right has the same HP by 3500rpm as a 1 1/2" but makes more hp total. Go to 911Chips.com if you want to look at some dyno runs. For me, a cat bypass and sport muffler is all I need on my chiped 3.2 . ![]() |

My 2.7 RS is rally prepped with weight around 950kg. The torque and hp values are crucial.
