Is there some method for cleaning these jet sprayers. Manual says they open @ >42 psi.
I do not have enough hands to plug all the holes to see if air is coming out as I apply air pressure. Any suggestion other than an octopus? 72 911T(being rebuilt) Phil |

Hi Phil,
I did this to my case when it was in pieces about two years ago. The problem is I can't remeber exactly how I did it. If memory serves, the squirter is in a passage off the passage going to the main bearing. Any way I took a piece of vacuum hose that fit fairly snug though the oil passage where the thru bolts go through the case and cut a hole in the side of the hose that lined up with the squirter passage. I had to plug one end of the vacuum hose and place the end of the air nozzle in the other end of the hose. The hose bypassed some of the passages. I then just plugged the main bearing passage with the end of my finger. This allowed enough air pressure to the squirter to pop it open. Sorry this explanation is kind of sketchy, but I can't remember exactly how the passages line up in the case. Take a look at your case and see if any of this makes sense. Hope this helps. Pat |

Sounds pretty clever! I'll have to try your technique. I just could not figure out how I was going to plug all those hole and then blow air into the passage.
Question? Were you able to use any cleansing chemical, i.e. carb cleaner or brake cleaner to loosen buildup of sludge? Thanks for your input! Phil |

Phil,
All I did was verify that they worked. I didn't try to clean them. Pat |

I certainly do not want to damage them in any way so I'll have to be careful.
