Seems to be. Just did a quick search and the related threads popped up, no problem.
Try something simple like "fuch" just to check if it is working.
Make sure you are searching the forum, not a thread.

give me an example and I'll try it here - I searched "Tire Rack" and got results.

The only problem that I have encountered with the search feature lately, is when doing a search, it would only show threads or postings in 2008. I was trying to find one of mine that I posted several years ago, and the earliest it showed was in Jan. 2008?????

I just tried finding posts by me using the advanced search tool... got hits to 2005

It will only return the first 500 matches. If you want more, then please make your search more specific. This is done to preserve server resources.

A person cannot search on "wheel" and expect to get any reasonable responses. Yet, a lot of people do this, and ironically, a search on a non-specific term like this uses a lot of resources on the server.

Didn't there used to be a search tutorial? I'd like a refresher on using quotation marks and the plus sign, if that does anything. If I searched for tire rack, I'd expect to see 500 threads with the word tire in them but not necessarily rack. I think I have better luck using Google. Google turns up a lot of Pelican threads.

Thanks i think i was searching threads, and also not specific enough. I tried your suggestions and got results.

Thank you very much,

Chris
