New H4's...now no blinkers?

Installed new H4 headlights...work great. Turn signals work fine until headlights are on, and then then they don't. Dash signal indicators are both faintly lit when headlights are on. Did I do something wrong with the install?

Its a straight forward swap really, Did you add the relay kit to handle the added power? If so I would check that area out first, otherwise anything acting up like this always points me in the direction of bad grounds. BTW where in west MI?

No, I didn't add the relay kit...could that cause the problem? Grounds check out ok. Located about an hour north of GR. Thanks.

I installed H4's on mine a few years go. I ran new wiring, and added relays. I lost all function of the front blinkers. Didn't realize that turn signal wiring was also together with the headlight wiring. Needless to say, I have to figure out how to correct the problem.

I doubt the relay is the issue, especially if you don't increase the voltage from the original lights.

I've had 3 different P-cars with H4's and NO relays that worked perfectly for years. I only used relays on the car that had 100W bulbs.

Grounds (brown wires) are almost always the culprit.

BTW, if you're referring to the Bentley SC manual wiring diagram, I've been told it is incorrect.

They are just plug and play, so ????? Plugs OK?
