P-Car Migrated to Las Vegas
I just moved out to North Las Vegas from Ohio so I'm starting anew with my P-Car adventures. There are some nice remote locations out here where I can open her up with a few twisties and such, but I'm sure that's just the tip of the iceberg.
I do have a few questions though: Any recommendations on mechanics in the area should I need some help with my car? I've never been a member of the PCA, but this place seems to be hopping a bit more. What are your thoughts about joining? Any cool get togethers or events around here that happen annually I should know about? Thanks!

Hi Kavil,
We also moved from Ohio to Las Vegas, and the first thing you need to do is open www.pca.org, and go to the Las Vegas Region's write ups. Look for the "Events" section, where there is a ton of information about up-coming events. The next best thing is to contact Tony at Carl's Place Porsche, the best mechanic who treats you well, knows everything, and tell him that Andras sent you. His number is 702.876.7982, and his shop is basically west of The Strip, just north of Desert Inn Road. There is a Saturday morning get-together for breakfast once a month, that allows you to meet other members, and preview the events happening in the near future. And there will be a Drivers' Ed at Spring Mountain Raceway, two day event, on 16-17 November. Otherwise, e.mail me at andras.nagy@ameristar.com

+1 for Tony at Carl's Place Porsche. He used drive up to the Bay Area for Golden Gate time trials. Last year, he took time to give me and my buddies, who were in Vegas for our annual SEMA pilgrimage, a tour of his shop. Very ship shape operation with top notch mechanics and excellent customer service.
