read the last few of posts again. often as simple as a blown interior light fuse. the relay is the next likely suspect. when the FV isn't working, you go very lean. seems like that's what you have.

dome light
Hey the clock is running , does that count? As for the dome lights, maybe their just burned out.
Theres two small boxes down by the big box under the passenger seat. One is 1" cube and is the relay i think. Can i check the voltage their? The other is the size of a pack of cigarettes. Can you adjust the mixture with that big rubber intake header in place>? |
1" cube. if the interior light fuse is good you will have voltage in but maybe not out. check the 87 and 87b for voltage. if you don't get voltage there, you can make a jumper lead and simply give voltage to the 87 and 87b terminals in the relay plug. for test purposes.

WUR with vacuum.......
Quote:
I believe that CIS (SC) engines with lambda sensor have WUR with no vacuum enrichment line. WUR's (-072 & -090) do not have vacuum enrichment which are OEM for these engines unless replaced by another type WUR. Could someone say otherwise? Thanks. Tony |

Todays plan
Relay is available about an hour south, so Im making the trip to buy it and hopefully fix the FV. And if that doesnt work ill start tracing the voltage.
The wur has a vacuum line on my 81 sc. The wur was removed, cleaned, i check the resistance 9.9 ohms, did the fuel pressure tests, all good, and replaced the wur vacuum line which i think had minor leaks, but didnt seem to make a big difference. If they can find the enrichment tool I'll try that too. |
Tony, 81 White and T77911S,
The WURs for 80 and 81-83 don't have the vac enrichment. There is an atmosphere line @ the top. Someone could still have one w/ vac as I do on my car, but you wouldn't use the lambda control then. |
