Roll bar question: Help me ID the manufacturer
Hello everyone,
I have dug this roll bar out of my (expanding Porsche parts collection). I bought it a couple of years ago. Apparently, it is made for early cars (non sunroof). Previous owner did not know the manufacturer. It is in good shape (no rust just scraped paint) and I am looking to install in my 71T . There is no diagonal, just the single lower cross bar. Can anyone tell me the manufacturer? Safety devices? Autopower? DasSport? other? Thanks Andy 71 911T 91 C4 ![]() ![]() ![]() |

NOT:
DAS Sport Autopower Safety Devices OG Racing Kirk Matter TRE That is a ... er.... interesting design ;( Not something I would trust beyond being a harness bar at best !

Autopower has been pretty common in Porsche racing circles. Ease of shipping and installation. BUT- (isn't there always one?) heavy duty tubing means a lot of extra weight, floor mounting is not considered the best. Still their bars are approved by the majority of organizations for D/E events AND there is always one available second hand (seems like you just need to wait a week or two and one pops on in the classified section)
