wipers not working (and I searched)
 

I got through about page 7 of the search results w/o finding anyone w/ a similar problem. my wipers don't work when moving the stalk up or down, but will "swipe" when you pull back on the stalk.

I took a look at the switch when I had everything pulled apart to fix the high-beam switch and cleaned the wiper switch the best I could w/ no change. I'm (incorrectly?) assuming it's not the relay, since the wipers will work when I pull back on the stalk.

Most of the fixes I read about in my search, that sounded like they might be relevant were on pre-76 cars, which all have a different switch. Other than replacing the switch, what next steps do you suggest?

from what i've found, you can tweak the contacts inside the wiper switch. hope this helps.

krd - I didn't see any contacts that were easily accessable when I had the switch pulled out. Most of the "tweaking" I saw was on the pre-76 wipers. Does anyone have a pic of what I should be looking for? I'll definitely take a closer look tonight.
