MSD ignition question

My 1976 911 has a 1983 3.0 stock,except for the K&N air filter,cat bypass, advanced timing.
Question...Is MSD ignition worth spending the money on for an upgrade? Would it be a noticable difference? Or is it just for HIGH performance, track built engines?

For your car, I wouldn't bother with an MSD unless your OEM ignition fails.

nice car.

MSD wont add anything.

is that car difficult to get smogged?

What Steve said. Most will agree with that statement. Some will disagree but those people usually have some other issue with a slightly rough idle and claim that the MSD fixed it. It really just masks the original issue.
