flapperbox cables?
i recently dumped the bursch headers and went to SSI's , mfi likes it a lot...
got the flapper boxes, the heater cable , but i must missing some part as the heater cable is just that.. a cable ![]() i seem to need a guide for the cable (1) , out of the firewall, to the flapper box, and then something at the flapper box should then keep it positioned (2)and something else to attach it to the flapperbox(3)??? 90121105121 seems to be a special cable clamp? that would take care of (2) ?? anybody knows what the deal is with 1 & 3 ?? can't find those parts in PET

I just went through the same thing you did, I ordered a set of cables but what I really needed were the cable guides.
Try this number; 901-424-704-01 this is what I believe your looking for. ![]()

Stijn, be very careful here: those were superceded many, many times so be sure they fit before you hook everything up.

I just replaced the heater boxes as well. I also found out that I need the cable guides in addition to the cables themselves. They fit into a hose clamp that attaches the duct hose to the flapper box. This clamp positions the cable/guide so that it pulls straight. Don't forget those tiny bolts with the holes in them to attach the cable. I thought I'd be able to attach them by drilling a small bolt but it didn't work. Highway robbery though--$9+ each. At least you can get the washers and nuts at a hardware store.

got them ordered, now it's a wait and see
need some solution, as no heat is not practical , need some heat to clear the windows in rainy weather , but fully open , it's an oven in there... whoever said 911 heat is pisspoor by design, must have had rusted out HE's or something and got high from the fumes...

If the nut snapped off and the cable is out of it, it should push out of the flapper.
It's basically a nut and bolt (drilled to accept the cable) and some washers.

The nut is still attached with part of the cable.
I was wondering if there was a way to keep it from spinning or if I would be better off slicing off the nut. Also, the heater hoses from the flapper box to the tube in the chassis are 2 1/2 diameter, correct? The hoses installed right now turned to dust ![]() Thank you.
