'96 993 vs. 2000 M Coupe........

'96 993 vs. 2000 M Coupe........

Just sold my '96 993 Carerra for a BMW "2000 M Coupe'.

Man.....that M Coupe (the clown shoe;-) is smokin' fast....I'm impressed....it seems a lot faster and muscular than the 993...

thoughts?

Put a 3.91 or 3.73 diff in there and you'll really fly! So what happened with the in-laws' mortgage?

Interior build quality is definitely far superior on the 993.....but...no big deal. G-Force factor is definitely lotsa fun!!

The M-Coupe definitely feels a lot more like my old "1968 911L 3.0 Carb'd"....it's a lot more visceral.

might be faster but

the 993 is one of the sexest Porsches ever built. The BMW is the chick in High School that's not to bright or good looking but puts out. Sorry for your loss

$11.5k! Was that guy on crack???

First thing to do is reinforce the diff mount/rear parcel area. Randy Forbes has a kit that has all the braces needed for the reinforcement. If not, the diff mount can tear the whole rear off the car.

Sleepy 911

hehehehe

Don't be hatin' on me...I loved my 993.....Had to help out the folks.......BUT it certainly doesn't feel like a chick car....you can say that about the roadster.....but the M Coupe is so ugly that it is bad-ass lookin'...I love it.

...I like to put it like this:

The m roadster DOES look like a chick car.........very pretty, retro etc......
BUT......by slappin' that Hatch/Rear on the coupe, it doesn't quite work.........Kinda like a master painter creating this gorgeous painting, and then the hippest grafitti artist in NY comes along and sprays his wares all over it.......

It's punk-rock!!

I dig it.

Glad to see you got what you needed. Too bad you to sell the Pcar. You're a good man to help out the folks.

Although it is a quirky rig I always liked the M coupe. Pretty cool. $11.5 seems like a good score.
