fuel pump options

Hey, I love this board. I always search before posting. Found a bunch of near answers but wondered if anyone knew if I could use a 3.2L fuel pump with my 40mm PMOs. I have the PMO fuel pressure regulator set at around 3lbs so my guess is that will reduce the pressure. Wondering if there is any risk in doing this. Planning on a 3.2L engine shortly but my current old CIS pump is saturated in gas making me think it is time to replace. Could kill two birds with one stone if I can get the 3.2 pump.

Oh well, maybe I will just get a replacement rotary fuel pump in the meantime to run my carbs and then when it is time for the 3.2 swap I will get another 3.2L pump.

You can use an aftermarket pump, like the Holley Red or the Carter low pressure model. There are many others, but those two come to mind. However, is it possible that you simply have a leaky fuel line?

Could be a line but they looked new. The pump looks old. Maybe I will clean it up, change the lines since they are short in this area and see if gets soaked again.
